If you would like your child to become a model and to be represented by a modeling agency, or if you plan to go to casting calls, you will need a composite card (comp card), also called a zed card. A comp card is basically a business card for models and it is considered the standard in the modeling industry. Casting agents and modeling agencies use them to assess your child's look.
The comp card should include the following information:
Name, Height, Weight, Hair Color, Eye Color, Date of Birth, Shoe Size, Contact information (Phone, Email)
It should be clean with professional quality images the card's standard size is 8.5 x 5.5
The cover should have a close-up headshot
The back should display two to four images with a combination of action and head shots
The back should display your child's most current measurements
As we all know, kids grow and change very quickly, so it is important to update the information and the photo regularly, and most likely twice a year.
